December

As I sit here trying to think of what we did in December, I keep drawing a blank. Why does it take so much effort for me to remember ANYTHING. Ugh. Annoying. Here we go..... The first weekend in December is our annual girl's night out for me and my sisters and Mom. We go down to Salt Lake and see the lights, take a carriage ride, and go to the festival of trees. This has been a tradition since I can remember, but after my Grandma H died we didn't do it for a while and have since started back up. It is really fun because we basically just laugh and make fun of each other the whole time. This time Heather (long lost older sister) was able to come (Yipee!) however she was like 11 months pregnant then. I am sure you could imagine what that was like! I tried to talk her into riding in a wheelchair, but she wouldn't go for it. It was a really fun weekend and a much needed break for me.

The second week in December was finals week, and I don't remember much except a blur of body parts and numbers. I did pretty good on my test though....

The third week in December, sweet baby Hunter was born, and I got to go down and spend the whole day with Heather in her hospital room. She did SO much better this time than she did with Tay. (Who happens to be her only other child, and will be 11 years old tomorrow). So Hunter was quite a shock! Gosh, he is cute. I want to drive down there and hold him. Right. Now.

Pictures just don't do him justice. He is SO cute.

Christmas also happened that week, and that was fun. Got lots of goodies, and Santa went overboard as usual.( Do you ever get out of the mood to take pictures, or do anything of that sort?? I do. Alot. Unfortunately, this was one of those months.) I did get a few pictures though.....
Then we had the last week, and New Year's eve. We pretty much are lame old people now, and just go to the in-laws house for lots of food and card games. We had a good time.

My cute little sis. Who is having a little GIRL in June. I can't wait!!!

The birthday boy.

This is Neb's signature look. It makes me laugh.

This is what happens when I say "make a funny face." Kacey's face is real funny, eh? Not!

P, in his element. Outside.
Goodbye 2010.
The End.

October

P got to go on his very first field trip this month. We went to a corn maze/fish hatchery in North Ogden that we have been to before, and he had a blast.
He almost didn't make it in this picture. I had to change G's diaper in the car real quick before they were ready to go in, and I had P right next to the car with me. I literally bent down to pick up G, and when I stood back up, P was nowhere to be found. I looked all through the other parents and couldn't find him, looked in the fish hatchery, and just as I was starting to freak out a little, I found him up the hill aways, by the fence. Sometimes I don't know what I am going to do with this boy.
( He is on the right side, top, second from right.)

Goofy smile...

(He couldn't be bothered with looking at my camera for 2.4 seconds, so I could get a good picture of him....Typical P. :))

Boy, oh boy did we get a surprise this year. My older sister has been married for 11 years, and has an eleven year old daughter. Us Tingey girls are generally broken in that our girl parts don't quite work the way they should. She and I are different. She tried to have another baby for a while after Tay was born, but gave up and was content with that. Then one day in April of 2010, she texted me to say she had gotten a positive pregnancy test that day. I was floored. I don't think you understand. She was the last person on earth I thought would have another baby. In fact, when I told Kacey about it, this is how our conversation went.....

Me: Guess who in my family is pregnant!
K: Lindsey!
Me: Nope.
K: Your mom??(who has had a hysterectomy.)

Yea.
We REALLY didn't think she would have anymore.
But she did, and so we had to throw her a shower!!
My camera was on the fritz this day, and for some reason I couldn't get a clear picture. I will have to try to find some pregnancy pictures of her from someone else.

(Cute Belly!!)

This was a fun game where I made all the guests drink out of bottles. It was hilarious!!!

One day P decided he wanted to drink out of a bottle just like G. It was cute.

Kirk G turned 60(gulp) this year. I still can't believe it.
And Pam put 60 balloons on their lawn for the occasion.
Happy Birthday!!!

August Days...and Preschool

August is one of my favorite months of the year. I love the carefree feeling August brings. Some of the activities we love to do in August include
Going fishing at Mantua reservoir every night after Daddy gets home from work. We always stay until sunset
Going to the park, and sometimes even walking there. Like to do it at least twice a week.
Go for walks every night, and don't have to worry about it being cold. We always end up at the same place....:)
Lagoon Days. Although, I prefer a rainy Lagoon day in October to be honest. No lines.

Look at that face. It just makes me melt.

Still can't believe they are mine. I am so blessed.

P likes fishing just a little bit

The family picture on the train at Lagoon has pretty much become tradition

P started Preschool at the end of August! He likes it, I think. Although he will never quite tell exactly what he does in school all day. I worry about him. If you have ever been around him a while, he is pretty wild and has a hard time focusing on things that bore him. But he seems to be doing okay, and his teachers haven't said anything yet.

Here are his two teachers. Mrs. Ellis(left) and Miss Dixie(right)

I am sure I have said this time and time again, but I don't know if P will ever be able to make a normal face while taking a picture. He just tries too hard, bless his heart.

Tay's Visit, and the big 4

***Back in June***
My older sister Heather just moved back to Utah...{Yay!!}
She has lived in the L.A. area for the last three years...
She had to stay in California for work a couple of weeks after they moved back, so my niece Taylor came and stayed with us!
Preston had a blast with her!
We rode the Frontrunner down to Salt Lake to get her
***
During her stay, we.......
***
Went swimming
***
Awesome "curly fry" {Is that what they call them nowadays??}
***
Went fishing...
***
Caught this frog by my house...Wierd!
***
Went fishing some more...
***
Hired my own personal butterfly catchers...
***

Then-
During her stay, Preston turned 4!!! I can't believe it! It makes me sad that he is growing up, but I am kind of excited to see who he becomes.
It was such a good day. We went to somewhere I haven't been in years and years, Chuck E Cheeses!! I LOVE IT!! I think I wanted to play the games and win the tickets more than P did! And the party followed....

Blowing out the candles
***
***
We had a fire truck party, and a pinata to match..
The kids loved it

I think that B-days should be done up BIG, because you just never know what is going to happen and how long everyone will be here. And also, why not??
We love you Preston, and are so glad you came to our family!!

Bittersweet

I love this time of year. I really do. It is just starting to get warm with lots of sunshine-y days. I love it. It is also a time when I do alot of thinking. As you know, my sister-in-law was doing a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society where you donate money and get bouqets of daffodils in return. She brought me my beauties yesterday and it couldn't have come at a more appropriate time. 13 years ago next week, my dear Grandma H passed away due to a malignant brain tumor. She passed away within 7 months of being diagnosed. It was a very hard time for my family, especially my mom. I still haven't gotten over it and I cry every time I think about her. I miss her so much, and I know my mom does too. :( I know it was her time to go, but I still wish she was here sometimes. It makes me sad thinking of all of the things she is missing out on.
It also makes me very grateful that me and everyone in my family are all healthy and going strong. And it makes me grateful that I get to wake up to these adorable faces every morning.....

How lucky am I??

Family Photos

A couple of weeks ago, we had our pictures taken by a good friend of ours ( and my sisters sister-in-law) Rylee. She did a wonderful job and we were so excited to see the final product.... It was FREEZING that day and it was a little hard to get Preston to pose, but they still turned out great!! And there was a ton to choose from, this is only a smidgen. I am going to have her take some more in the summer of Preston and Gunner individually......... :)
This is her photo blog/website.
Go check her out. Now!
Thanks Rylee!!

Girls' Night out/Festival of Trees!!!

I haven't been in the mood to post lately, so this is from last week. Last Friday my mom, my aunt, my sister and I went to Salt Lake for a girls night and stayed over and went to the festival of trees the next day. It was so much fun!! We ate at the Training Table (love their cheese fries :) ) and went to temple square and goofed around all night. We also went on a carriage ride around the city! Here are some pictures......

On the way down.....
